Fresh and Easy store to open on Wednesday, February 1st at 10:00 a.m.

Lights are on in the Fresh and Easy store under construction

I took a look tonight to see how the construction was going at the soon to be Fresh and Easy grocery store. Earlier in the day I had visited the new store they’ve opened on 3rd street less than a few miles away and found a good variety of products including a half decent range of gluten free products which are essential for my wife. So tonight I wondered how much progress was being made at the store they plan to open on Silver and Goettingen St. I arrived to find the contractors just leaving for the day and they were kind enough to let me take a look around inside, however I wasn’t allowed to take any photos from the inside. What I saw were all the cooling units powered up and running, the entire ceiling of lights were lit and even the automated cashier islands were powered up and beeping away. Amazing progress since this was a totally empty unit when they started work at the end of September. I was told, unoffically, that the store could, based on current progress and pending no mishaps, be open for customers near the end of February 2012.

I have contacted the company to see if I can get some more direct communication about the store opening and also be informed of any promotions and such when the store is fully open for business.
