The word is spreading…

Well we’ve only been “live” for a few days now and already news of our site has hit our fellow internet neighbors. The Dogpatch Howler first reported our existance on the ether followed closely by the District 10 blog, d10watch. Sunday morning those in the Mission got to read about us with their breakfast burrito’s. Then today the witty real estate website Curbed SF ran a piece on “The 10 Least Expensive Properties For Sale in Portola” which logically led them to our article encourging fellow Portolian’s to plant more trees. [Update] our close friends over in Bernal Heights are also starting to notice their southern brethren, although we’ll stay off their lawn if they stop launching rockets in our yard.

So a quick calculator and a glance at the website statistics reveals we’ve had 536 unique visitors since Friday, not bad for our first outing. So it looks like we are here to stay and I had lunch today with another possible contributor who has a stunning passion for cleaning up our streets in the Portola. Stay tuned, we intend to be making learning about your very own ‘hood interesting, fun and at times a controversial affair.
