Portola, the most diverse for rental prices

Truila, a web based real estate aggregator, has just released an interactive map that allows you to view the average prices of San Francisco rentals. Based on a per bedroom rental price, it shows the vast majority of San Francisco to be very, very expense. I.e. $2,000 per room and up.

However, scroll away from the crazy prices of downtown San Francisco, and more towards our own neighborhood. The story becomes a bit more interesting. The Portola and Excelsior neighborhoods are the only in San Francisco with sub $500 rental properties. But yet, there are still areas which average over $2,600. That’s quite a diverse range. Also the city’s lowest rentals are in the Portola ($233 per bedroom) and is bordered by a triple increase in median ($1000 per bedroom)
