Carlin

Author's details

Name: Carlin DeCato
Date registered: January 18, 2012

Biography

Carlin landed on McLaren Ridge in ’92 after living in Palo Alto for many years and working cool silicon valley jobs ( the Palo Alto Research Center and Dialog Information Systems). With the arrival of children she soon began commuting less and found herself donating the “extra” time towards the local community (McLaren Park, Palega, Library, Garden Tour, and Safety projects). Twenty years later, Carlin lives in the same 1950’s “junior five” (now renovated and expanded), with her husband and two teenage daughters, and continues to spend a bit of time caring for the neighborhood -- these days, by working behind the scenes, supporting others in their more active roles. She and her family enjoy McLaren’s ponds, forest trails, and panoramic views on a regular basis and cannot imagine family life in any other part of the city.
